A FIELD GUIDE TO QUIET

Two waves can make silence.

Each brass resonator sends out a wave. Turn its phase dial to move the wave’s peaks and troughs.

  1. Make the ghosts sleepy. Their energy meters need to fall into the teal zone (below 4%).
  2. Keep the lanterns bright. Their meters need to reach the gold zone (above 80%).
  3. Settle everyone at once, then press “Let them dream”.

Resonator A is your fixed reference. B and C turn in 30° steps. Use the − / + buttons, tap a dial position, or focus the slider and use arrow keys. A full turn brings you back to the same setting.

There’s no timer and no penalty. Undo, reset, or use a hint whenever you like. Your completed rooms stay on this device when storage is available.

A stylized wave puzzle: equal-strength monochromatic waves, without distance decay or wall reflections. The lanterns are magical wave-energy indicators. No audio or flashing is required.

AN ORIGINAL HALLOWEEN GAME

A softer kind of spooky.

Original game code and six handcrafted, computationally checked rooms, MIT licensed. The wave field is computed from the vector sum of each source’s phase and travel distance.

Original GPT-generated storybook sprites are bundled locally. No accounts, network requests, or downloads are needed to play.

Seasonal research reference: rogulia/halloween.js (MIT). This is a reference for the current Halloween theme; no upstream code or artwork is used. Hushwick is not an adaptation of that effects library.
